Be Extremely Careful When Using Minoxidl

Monixidil is a topical solution for hair loss which is rubbed into the scalp to promote the growth of hair.  Both men and women can use this medication.  The hair growth will generally happen within the first several months of using it.  When you stop using the Minoxidil your hair will stop growing.  This medicine is approved by the Food And Drug Administration and is bought without a prescription here in the United States.  This medication is available in liquid and foam form.

Always check with your doctor about using any hair growth product including a topical solution for hair loss.  One area you should address with your doctor will be the effects of any allergic reactions you may have had to any such medication.  Then the doctor will inform you as to whether this medication may affect any medical condition you may have.  Don’t use Minoxidil aor any other hair growth product for infants or children.

According to studies, Minoxidil works best with younger adults than older people.  It has not been tested in anyone over sixty- five but has not been reported to have any adverse side affects on this age group which are different from those experienced by younger adults.

Some topical solutions for hair loss such as Minoxidil could have an affect on certain medical conditions.  Speak with your doctor if you have hypertension or heart disease.  Although nothing has been proven by studies, Minoxidil could cause health problems for those who suffer from these illnesses.  If these people use too much of the solution and it is absorbed into the skin, it could have serious side effects.

Be sure to follow the instructions which come with th is medicine and use it according to your doctor’s recommendation.  Don’t use this product on any part of your body other than the recommended area.  If it is absorbed by the body it can cause serious damage.

This is the way to apply Minoxidil topical hair loss solution:

-          Beginning with dry hair and scalp start in the middle of the balding area and apply the amount recommended by your doctor.

-          When you are finished with the application, quickly cleanse your hands of any remaining solution.

-          Let the solution dry thoroughly for two to four hours after it is put on the scalp.

-          Make sure that the medicine isn’t mistakenly put on any other area of the body while it is wet.

-          Using a hair dryer to dry your scalp area can cause the treatment to be less effective.

-          Don’t shampoo your hair for four hours after using the Monoxidil.

-          This medication can stain hats, clothes, and bed linens if it doesn’t have a chance to dry.

Monixidil should not be used in combination with any other skin product on your scalp.  As long as the scalp has been washed before hand, permanents, hair dyes, and hair relaxers can be used while Minoxidil therapy is still going on.
